Biennale | 6th Ghetto Biennale: The Haitian Revolution and Beyond

A weeklong series of performances, workshops, and screenings in this sixth iteration of the major cross-cultural arts event centered in Haiti, co-founded by Andre Eugène and Leah Gordon. Sited primarily in Lakou Cheri and Ghetto Leanne within central Port-au-Prince, this edition’s numerous highlights include: The Living and the Dead Ensemble, a constellation of performances and a screening that engage discussions around the Petwo Karibe movement and others during the Revolution, in reflection to current protests and activism, featuring Haitian artists LéO, Mackenson Bijou, Jephthe Carmil, Rossi Jacques Casimir, Dieuvela Cherestal, James Desiris, Louis Henderson, Cynthia Maignan, Sophonie Maignan, Olivier Marboeuf, and Mimétik Nèg.
