Exhibition | Joiri Minaya: Divergences
Kemper Museum presents Divergences, a commissioned installation by New York-based Black Latinx artist Joiri Minaya, for the the fifth annual Atrium Project. Within her photographic collages of female figures and historic local sites, Minaya camouflages these idealized subjects of landscape and the female body to investigate constructions of identity, diverse cultural social spaces, and hierarchies as a means to reclaim agency and visibility.
