Whitney Biennial 2019
This major event, occurring every two years in New York and with a keen pulse on the global arts community and contemporary trends and sociopolitical situations, will feature 75 artists and collectives for 2019. Participation from the Caribbean and its cultural Diaspora is strong this edition, including artists Eddie Arroyo (Cuban-American), Sofía Gallisá Muriente (Puerto Rican); Simone Leigh (Jamaican-American); Daniel Lind-Ramos (African-Puerto Rican); Las Nietas de Nonó (African-Puerto Rican); nibia pastrana santiago (Puerto Rican); and Gala Porras-Kim (Colombian).
